Piet Smal is a pioneer in the shark cage diving industry since 1998. He has vast expertise and experience in shark diving operations & managing operational staff. He is also committed to black economic empowerment within in the industry and transfer of skills to historically disadvantaged persons (HDI).
Piet (MD), owns & manage the shark tour operation and will guide, mentor and coach HDI thereby ensuring real transformation in the industry.

The White Shark Adventure's office and base of operations is managed from Piet and Anna's house in Kleinbaai, and is now also renowned as the House of Nemo!

Office Staff

The White Shark Adventure Team is further represented by the dynamic office staff. Madelein is in charge of the finances. Abraham, Pumeza and Amelia are one of the most experienced marketing teams you will find while Gregg, our IT guy, look after the computers, websites & graphic designs. They have all the Web, Marketing, Financial, Communication and Administrative skills that are necessary to establish this company as the best in the shark cage diving industry.

The Kitchen

We are furthermore privileged to have Anna Williams, a chef and caretaker of former President PW Botha on board. Anna joined the Smal family during 2002 and is of great help for Anna Smal and Marie Nowers preparing and serving the most delicious dishes to our guests.

Our highly qualified crew consist of:

The Skipper, Freddy, secondary skipper & dive-master, Andrew.

Kennedy is our Bait handler, Tour Guide and customer liaison.

Patrick is our chummer.

Deck hands, Stalin & Vujani, make sure the boat is prepped and fuelled for the next trip to sea.

We also have professional videographers on board, Heinrich or Verschelle.
