Nemo was specially designed for shark cage diving and built by Gecat in St Francis Bay. It is 10.7m in length with a cabin, toilet, wonderful open observation deck for photography enthusiasts and a diving platform. It operates with 2 x 300 Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engines.
White Shark Adventures complies strictly with regulations set down by the Marine Coastal Management and local governing authorities. The vessel, cage and all diving equipment adhere to all SA Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) regulations, and we carry comprehensive and passenger liability insurance.
The crew consists of a dive master, Level 3 medic, and a skipper with SAMSA, who are trained to handle any emergency situation that may arise whilst out at sea.
The boat is surveyed annually by SAMSA and conforms to its specifications. It is licensed for 20 passengers and 5 crew members. Safety equipment includes a first aid kit, radio and cell phone, as well as a life-boat that can accommodate 65 people if it ever became necessary.
Nemo is equipped with sufficient diving equipment for all guests on their cage dive, and the dive master will ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable with their experience.
